The show I chose is titled 'Being Erica'. It begins with a young lady dressed in a jacket and skirt walking down a busy street in a carefree manner and seems to appreciate the buzz around her. She appears to be a clumsy person who gets easily carried away by events around her. She gets to her office and is focused on her computer while answering a phone call. She is called over to her boss's office and is later seen walking with another lady down the street with a box of her belongings in her hands. This makes me believe that she has been fired and is being consoled by her friend, especially since she had a worried look on her face. She heads home, changes into a dress and heads out of her apartment. I believe she was just taking herself out to dinner after a tough day. She receives a phone call and then becomes hysterical and goes into a diner. She is offered a drink by a waiter and soon after that, she faints. A man comes to see her at the hospital and I think he is someone she knows but is uncomfortable around.
After I unmuted the show, I realised that she is indeed someone who does not get things right with her life decisions. Although she is very educated and dedicated to her job, she still finds it difficult to keep a job. The lady she was talking with was indeed her friend but she was not consoling her, rather encouraging her to go on a planned 3rd date with a man she met recently who happened to be a dentist. The reason she was upset after the phone call was because she was dumped by the dentist which was one of her fears. When she got into the diner, she was offered a cup of macadamia nut milk latter that put her into anaphylactic shock because of her allergy. The man who comes into her room was not a friend, but somehow, he knew every detail about her which made her suspicious and uncomfortable around him.
My assumptions would have been more accurate if it had been a show I knew well because my memory would help me interpret each scene well.
An insight I had is that communication can take place in any place and any time because of the cues, expressions body language etc that adds nuances to a character just as much as words can.
This is where I share my thoughts and opinions. It is a place for positivity and empowerment

Hi! I also learned that body language is something we need to learn to read as well as listening to verbal language. How can that help us be more effective early childhood educators?
