This simulation process has opened me up to an intense world of research where quality and credible resource is paramount. I have the tips on how to decipher scientific resources from others which has helped me to make good choices so far.
An insight I gained from reviewing the research chart this week is how to pick out the relevant points from an article without having to read through the entire work. This alone would save me time as there are usually so many articles to chose from.
I would appreciate any insights as well as resources that can be shared with me concerning this course or the early childhood field in general.
With the prevalence of re-partnering and remarrying, I would be great if you could read this article referenced here.

The family unit is important because it is the basic support for the child and who they are going to become.
ReplyDeleteLearning what is relevant within an article is definitely a plus. It saves you time while narrowing your focus as you search to find evidence throughout the research process.
ReplyDeleteYour subtopic is very interesting. I can only image how complicated reconstructing and realigning families can be, especially for children. I would enjoy reading your finished work.

Adiele,
ReplyDeleteYou chose an interesting subtopic. Family is the foundation of the child’s development. Sadly, marriages fall apart, and the child is caught in a situation that is out of its control. It the journey of healing and the redesigning of the parent-child relationship that helps nurture the child’s social and emotional development. This topic touches my heart in so many ways. My husband’s parents divorced when he was young, and the reconstruction and realignment of his family was a tough transition for all involved. As educators, we witness the effects of separation, divorce, and remarriages has on young children in the classroom. I look forward to learning more as you research the overall family complexity’s effect on a child.
Wishing you well,
Donna
